A more comfortable flight
Reduce the vibration felt through the controls, seats, and cabin.

Precision dynamic propeller balancing to help reduce vibration, improve cabin comfort, and protect the aircraft you care about.
Even a propeller that looks perfectly fine can produce unwanted vibration while running. That vibration can travel through the engine, mounts, instrument panel, and cabin.
Dynamic balancing measures the installed engine-and-propeller assembly while operating. Our technicians evaluate the readings and, when appropriate, make small balance-weight adjustments to reduce propeller-speed vibration.

Two recent customer aircraft measured with our DynaVibe GX3 equipment. Aircraft registrations and owner details have been removed to protect customer privacy.
What does IPS mean? Inches per second is the vibration velocity reported by the analyzer. Each example improved to 0.02 IPS. The percentages are calculated from those measurements and are rounded; individual results vary, and these examples are not a guarantee of a particular outcome.
Customers can review the actual DynaVibe sheets below. Aircraft registration and identifying details have been removed, but the measured readings and balancing results remain intact.
Dynamic propeller balancing goes beyond the propeller by itself: it evaluates the rotating assembly as installed on your aircraft.
Our process uses a vibration analyzer to guide adjustments and verify the final result.
With the equipment installed and engine operated under appropriate conditions, we record the initial vibration measurement.
Our technicians determine suitable correction weights and locations in accordance with applicable manufacturer instructions and procedures.
We measure again, make further corrections if needed, and record the final reading.
Dynamic propeller balancing is offered at a flat rate of $400 to $800, depending on the aircraft's engine configuration:
Flat rate based on engine and spinner bulkhead configuration.
Schedule Your BalanceA few things owners often ask before scheduling a balance.
Yes. Static balancing checks a propeller off the aircraft. Dynamic balancing measures vibration with the propeller and engine rotating together while installed on the aircraft.
Not necessarily. Many aircraft benefit, particularly after propeller work or if vibration is present, but the service depends on the aircraft, installed equipment, and applicable instructions.
No. Dynamic balancing addresses certain propeller-speed vibration. It cannot correct every source of engine or airframe vibration, which may require separate diagnosis.
Dynamic propeller balancing is a flat-rate service from $400 to $800, based on your aircraft: $400 for Lycoming engines without a spinner bulkhead attached to the starter ring, $600 for Continental engines, and $800 for Cirrus aircraft or Lycoming engines with an attached spinner bulkhead.
Yes. We record vibration measurements, and the two anonymous DynaVibe report sheets are shown above. You can view the actual before-and-after readings and click either report to enlarge it, with identifying information removed.
